Basketball

Quick Intro

Basketball is a sport played by two teams each of five players on a rectangular court. The objective is to shoot a ball through a hoop 18 inches / 46 cm in diameter and mounted at a height of 10 feet / 304,8 cm to backboards at each end of the court. A team can advance the ball on the court by throwing it to a teammate, or by an individual player bouncing the ball while walking or running (dribbling), and will score a goal by shooting the ball through the basket being defended by the opposition team. A goal will score 1, 2 or 3 points depending on how and from what position of the court it is made and the team with the most points at the end of the game wins.
